In this live event, Dr Hannah Zhang will give an overview of Instrumented indentation related tests (Nano impact and scratch) on hard metals, glasses and thin coatings, including the effect of temperature and strain rates.
About The Speakers
Hannah is a Senior Scientist in the Advanced Engineering Materials group at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) in the UK, where she looks after the micromechanical area with a focus on instrumented indentation testing and multi-scale mechanical testing of ceramic materials. She is the UK technical expert on the international standards committee (ISO TC164 SC3) concerned with the standardization of instrumented indentation. She also acts as an industrial supervisor for several PhD projects.
